Family Track

Family Track

The conference is open to parents of children with disabilities as well as to persons with disabilities. This inclusion of non-professionals in our meetings is part of a transition in perspective and practise since the family is central in planning of services which requires greater access to scientific knowledge in order to make informed decisions.
In collaboration with RBU (Riksförbundet för Rörelsehindrade Barn och Ungdomar; www.rbu.se) and ICPS (International Cerebral Palsy Society; www.icps.org.uk) we have created a special track all through the meeting with sessions that are particularly interesting for parents and other non-professional participants. The speakers in these sessions have been asked to adapt their presentations to adhere to a broadening of the auditorium with both professional and non-professional attendants. Below is the schedule of the recommended sessions of the Family Track in addition to all of the plenary keynotes.
Note that parents and other non-professionals are welcome to participate in all sessions, i .e. also those not included in this recommendation.

Note that parents belonging to RBU can get reimbursed by RBU with 500 SEK after contacting them.
